Privacy Policy

• Calculator inputs (loan amount, salary, etc.) — processed entirely in your browser. We do not send these to our servers unless you choose to email yourself a report.
• Email addresses — only when you voluntarily submit one through a calculator's "Send Report" or newsletter form.
• Anonymous analytics via PostHog (page views, button clicks, anonymized IP). This is aggregated and we do not link it to your identity.
• Cookies for dark-mode preference and optional advertising (see Section 5).

• Your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account details or any sensitive personal data.
• Your real calculator inputs unless you opt in to receive a report.
• Geolocation, device contacts, photos or any phone permissions.

• Calculator inputs in browser: to compute and display results. Period.
• Email (if you provide it): to send the specific report you requested and, with your consent, an occasional newsletter from Rupee Rishi.
• Analytics: to understand which calculators are popular and to fix bugs.

We do not sell your data. Period.

We share data only with these third-party processors, strictly for the function they provide:

• MongoDB Atlas — stores email addresses you submit.
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics.
• Google AdSense — serves ads (see Section 5).
• Affiliate partners — only when you click an affiliate link and proceed to sign up on their site. We may receive a referral confirmation, never your account details.

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Ads will continue to appear without personalization if you opt out — they just won't be tailored to your interests.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you can:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Email hello@rupeesmart.org and we'll act on requests within 30 days.

Submitted email addresses are retained until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Cookies expire as set by each provider (Google AdSense cookies typically last up to 13 months).

RupeeSmart is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data, please email us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days.
